About us

St Nicolas C of E Academy is a primary school based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. We currently have 420 children, aged from 4 to 11 years old. The dedication shown by our exceptional team of teachers, support staff, volunteers and governors ensures that the children of St Nicolas develop and grow a genuine love of learning.

What do we want?

We would like to have a full class set of iPads, in their own storage and charging trolley, so that our children have the opportunity to use and apply technology to any lesson in the curriculum. To ensure our children have access to latest updates and apps we also hope to purchase a Mobile Device Management system.

The Apple’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) system is an extremely useful tool for schools managing large numbers of iPads allowing administrators to remotely push apps and settings to iOS devices. In Apple School Manager you can search for content, purchase licences with an education volume discount, and instantly view important information all in one place. This makes better use of time management and collaboration between teacher and students.

Who is this for?

This project will benefit all children across the school from Reception to Year 6.

Why do we want it?

Here at St. Nicolas Academy we believe every child should have the chance to flourish using the latest technology. We would like to provide the opportunity for our children to learn coding, explore and create visual arts, investigate and record scientific observations and explore the real world issues in an exciting and stimulating manner.

We want to find the genius in every pupil by allowing them to use technology to encourage their creativity, giving pupils the confidence and skills needed for today’s world. This will help to inspire more children to take up STEM-related degrees at university and perhaps help to fulfil the shortage of roles in this sector.

2 x iPad 9.7 silver @ £319 each

1 x Apple’s Mobile Device Management (MDM) system @ £999

Total = £1,637 (incl VAT & delivery)

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy extra iPads so we can have a full class set and a secure charging trolley to store them in:
