About us

At East Whitby we take pride in developing outstanding teaching and learning by holding the highest expectations of all our pupils and knowing the children well. We challenge all children to strive for academic, creative, sporting and personal accomplishment within a broad, vibrant and enriched curriculum. Our students are given time to explore subjects and develop deep understanding.  We celebrate perseverance, resilience and risk taking, ensuring children welcome challenge and are not frightened to make mistakes.

What do we want?

Equipment to bring to life our hall!  We want our children to be inspired by Performing arts. We are in need of equipment from multimedia player, wireless microphones, mobile cased equipment rack and lightening to bring the whole thing to life!

Who is this for?

The whole school to enjoy with a view to potentially allow local communities get involved in some much overdue school performances

Why do we want it?

In a deprived part of the country, we want to give our pupils the opportunity just like other parts of the UK.  The school is in urgent need, like many others, of being 'left behind' in the modern era.

Our intention is to provide the 200+ pupils, year on year, with a fit for purpose set up them allows them to express themselves, perform and allow their inhibitions to be expressed freely - with the set up of a new performing arts stage and lightening to reflect it
