About us

We are a one form entry school in Knowsley, Merseyside with 186 pupils from Nursery to Year 6.

At Roby Park we are 'Aiming for Excellence' which we strive to achieve across all areas of school life. We are extremely proud of our pupils who we provide a broad and balanced curriculum for in order to develop their knowledge, talents and skills.

Our children are excited, inspired and have a love of learning. They are led by a team of 10 Digital Leaders who are keen to spread their love of coding and programming to all.

What do we want?

Coding robots! Including: Spheros, Code-a-pillar and Dash Robots, plus 2 iPads to run them with

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school to use in the Computing Curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage to Year 6.

Why do we want it?

Coding and programming is an integral part of the Computing Curriculum from a young age. Our children will need the skills developed at this young age as they grow up in a fast paced technological age. The technology we are raising funds for will allow them to do this using up to date kit that engages and challenges their computational thinking. Coding, programming, creativity and problem solving at their finger tips.

4 x Sphero SPRKs @ £119.95

3 x Wonder Workshop DashRobots @ £149.95

2 x Code-a-pillars @ 24.99

2 x iPads @ £240 (Education pricing)

Total = £1459.63

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy more iPads to use with the coding tech.
