About us

Laughton Junior and Infant School is rooted in its community, serving successive generations of families. There is a strong, caring ethos that runs throughout the whole school community. This is clearly reflected in how all members of staff feel responsible for the pastoral care of pupils, contributing to the good behaviour of our children. Our children are hardworking and thoughtful members of the community, eager to rise to new challenges. The school has a very positive reputation in the local area.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school from Nursery to Year 6, to use across a range of subjects as part of the curriculum. However we would love to create a Robotics club which would allow groups of pupils to really become skilled in using robotics.

Why do we want it?

We want this because our children are eager to learn to become the coders, gamers, technicians of the future. We want them to be at least in line with their peers in terms of the experiences they have had with technology. We would love for them to be experts!

6 x Robot for EYFS @ £16.99 each = £101.94

4 x Digital camera @ £38 each = £152 = 4

4 x Digital camcorder @ £48.99 each = £195.96

Vex robotics kit @ £295.96

6 x robot kit @ £17.50 = £105

4 x penguin bot @ £39.99 = £159.96

Total = £1,010.82

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy 2 Robotics kits @ £172.99 = £345.98
