About us

Hungerford Primary School is a 2 form entry school based in West Berkshire. Our school has one aim: to enable every child in our care to be successful. We encourage every child to reach their full potential and recognise that each child is special in their own way and has their own contribution to make to the school and our wider community. Our pupils are motivated, interested and engaged learners who thrive on new challenges.

What do we want?

We want to buy 18 Inobots and 3 charging stations to enable our children to develop their computer programming skills and see how they can control and direct technology from their laptops.

Who is this for?

The Inobots are primarily aimed at KS2, however the children across the whole school will benefit from their use. If we can raise more than our initial target we will be looking to purchase blue-bots for use across KS1 as well.

Why do we want it?

Currently our children experience most of the Computing curriculum through the use of laptops and iPads. We want to broaden the children's understanding of the different ways that we can use technology. We want to challenge them to take their programming skills beyond the laptop screen and create practical problems for them to solve. This will encourage their understanding of computer programming and debugging skills and show them that programming has wider applications.

18 x Inobots @ £1,558.92 (inc VAT)

3x Inobot docking stations @ £35.94 (inc VAT) per station

Total: £1,600

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy 18 Blue-Bots with charging stations for use across KS1.
