About us

Red Hall Primary School is located in Darlington, in the North East of England. We received Good in our last Ofsted report and are moving towards Outstanding. We are very much a community school, at the centre of the estate. We deliver an engaging curriculum that is centred around the children's passions, interests and needs. All staff are part of the journey in creating a child that is well equipped for the future.

What do we want?

We want to purchase 10 sets of Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits and 10 tablets to engage children in real life STEM scenarios. The Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits and tablets will be used across the curriculum, as well as for extra-curricular clubs.

Who is this for?

The Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits will be used across Key Stage 2, whilst the tablets will be used across the whole school.

Why do we want it?

The Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits will be used to enhance the school's current Computing curriculum as children will learn the vital skills of programming, debugging and computational thinking. As well as developing skills in problem-solving, resilience, engineering and science.

The tablets will be used to deliver the programming aspect of the Lego Education WeDo 2.0 kits. In addition, they will be used across the school to enhance all aspects of the curriculum. For example, allowing all pupils to use a wider range of software, for Key Stage 1 to access programming via Scratch Junior, support the school's online reading scheme and to help bring learning to life, as well as developing vital computing skills.

10 x Lego Education Wedo 2.0 kits @ £133 each

Total: £1,330

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy the 10 iPads @ £319 each = £3,190.
