About us

We are a large Junior School in West Surrey, Camberley full of enthusiastic young minds. Ravenscote is a unique environment where we encourage each child to reach their potential to achieve their hopes and dreams.

We lead computing within the school and have researched and looked into the VR package, which we feel would greatly benefit our students in many ways.

What do we want?

We would love to introduce the ClassVR package to Ravenscote. This includes a headset for each child in a class, bringing them an exciting, engaging learning experience - taking them outside of the classroom and venturing into other lands.

For more information, visit the ClassVR website here: http://www.classvr.com/school-virtual-reality/classroom-case-vr-headset-8/

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school to use across a range of subjects.

Why do we want it?

Virtual reality will allow children to access learning like never before. They would be able to visualise their History and Geography lessons by bringing the places they are learning about to life. They would access a wide variety of experiences helping to enthuse, excite and fill them with ideas for their creative writing. During science lessons, children could become mini doctors, scientists and physicists witnessing for themselves how things work.

Not only would these particular subjects benefit but all others across the curriculum. It brings purpose to learning, inspiration to young minds and helps engage pupils like never before.

1 x ClassVR Classroom Set of 8 = £2,249

If we were to go over our fundraising target, ideally so that each child is able to use one, we would like:

4 x ClassVR Classroom Set of 8 = 32 units in total @ £8,996

On top of that, we'll need to buy:

Class VR Portal License (1 year) @ £299

Class VR Set up and Training @ £499

Shipping @ £15.00

Total cost (incl. VAT): £11,767.80

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than this, then we would also like to invest in other exciting, interactive IT within the school.
