About us

Park Walk Primary School is fortunate to be part of the LGfL network which is currently providing an exciting opportunity to be part of the growing VR community. As part of LGfL, we will also be able to purchase ClassVR at a discounted rate. We believe this makes it even more important to raise funds for the brilliant learning experiences our children will get.

What do we want?

We would like to buy a ClassVR package of 8 headsets. ClassVR is a Virtual and Augmented Reality system designed exclusively for the classroom, which brings exciting and engaging technology that allows students to experience and travel to far-flung locations around the world.

For more information, visit the ClassVR website here.

Who is this for?

ClassVR is suitable for all year groups. We are planning to use ClassVR with a cross-curriculum approach to engage and excite the children in all subject areas. The children will be able to have new first hand experiences such as visiting the Egyptian pyramids, studying 3D organs, swimming with great white sharks and visiting the Amazon rainforest.

Why do we want it?

We want ClassVR because it brings VR and AR in the classroom, which improve children's outcomes through increased engagement and better knowledge retention through personal first hand experience. Virtual reality will allow our students to visualise and interact with subject matter in a totally new way.

The money will be used to buy 8x Class VR headsets as part of the LGfL Class VR scheme.

Total = £1,999

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy additional iPads to further support their use throughout our school.
