New update! Thanks again everyone, we are overwhelmed by all your support which means we have also reached our stretch target of £1,000 :)

So now we have decided to go for the full price of the Interactive board - £3,160. Thanks!!

UPDATE! Thanks to all your support we've already reached our original target so we are now stretching it to £1,000, to get us closer to afford the full Promethean Whiteboard.

Number of students that will benefit: 45 per year group - 30 in each class

Age of students: 5-7

Percentage of Pupil Premium students: 6.5%

Our school

We're a bright, lively, and creative primary school in the village of Otterbourne, South of Winchester. We believe in giving children a ‘hands on’ approach to learning where they are allowed to experiment and experience activities to inspire them to find out more. We aim to foster a lifelong love of learning and believe that our children deserve the very best as they start their learning journey with us. We aim to enable children to recognise the positive contribution that they and others are able to make to our diverse, ever-changing society, both near and far.

What do we want

We want a Promethean i-Series VTP2-75-4K 4K 75” Education Interactive Touchscreen.

Who is this for?

The interactive screen is for the students of Key Stage 1/2.

Why do we want it?

We have grown to understand the power of interactive whiteboards for teaching over the years and our current Year 1/2 screen is on its last legs. We want to replace it with this new state of the art technology by September 2019 when our current reception cohort starts the KS1/2 curriculum.

Children engage with their learning very proactively with interactive media and grow in self-confidence, in their ability to collaborate as well as in their soft skills. It is a very powerful tool to catch pupils attention and maintain strong focus and enthusiasm during lessons.

This is what Dens Road Primary School in Dundee has to say about the benefits of the technology.

We don't want the children of Otterbourne Primary to miss out!

1 x Promethean ActivPanel i-Series VTP2-75-4K, 75'' LCD display, multi-touch (10-point), 4K UHD, 3840 x 2160, with HDMI, VGA, USB, built-in speakers

including cabling, wall mount and installation

Total = £3,160

We have set our target at £500 to kick start the fund raising our school and PTA are working on for this equipment.

Now that we've been fortunate to raise more than our target, we are adding a stretch target to £1,000, which means that we will be closer to our purchase date! Thanks for your support so far!

And remember, if we're fortunate enough to raise the whole £3,160, we guarantee having the equipment in our KS1/2 classroom for September 2019!

Stretch target 2

Thanks everyone for your support so far! We're so happy to have already raised over £1,000, so we are now going all the way to £3,160 to be able to totally afford the Promethean ActivPanel!
