About us

We are a friendly primary school in the heart of Chelmsford. Our diverse school is lucky to be home to a wide range of cultures and religions. We know that this is one of our strengths. Our children love computing and we want to help develop their understanding, starting early on in their education, so that they can build upon these vital life skills as they move through our school.

What do we want?

We would like to allow our faithful old Roamer to retire and replace him with 6 Blue-Bots and a docking station. The Blue-Bots would allow our youngest children to begin to learn the basics of control technology. Our KS1 and KS2 children would be able to transfer the programming they have currently been learning on screen, to something they can physically control through the Bee-Bot app, and therefore see the effect of their programming in the real world and the possibilities for controlling other things. The opportunities the Blue-Bots will offer for combining algorithms and imagination will make for some awesome learning experiences.

Who is this for?

This would mainly be for EYFS and KS1 but our imaginative staff are excited with the prospect of devising exciting projects for children higher up the school.

Why do we want it?

The Blue-Bots will help to develop children's learning across several areas of the curriculum including Maths, Science and English. It will also offer further opportunities for our children to work together, which we love.
