About us

Goffs Oak Primary and Nursery School caters for a range of children with a variety of skills and talents. We promote creative, outdoor learning and encourage the children to make links with their learning through a broad and balanced curriculum.

What do we want?

We would like to invest in one iPad per class to enable teachers to evidence children's learning and find a quicker way to share the children's learning with them. We already use cameras to document subjects such as Art, PE and Science but as these are dated, we would like some new technology to enable this to be done quicker and in a more child/user friendly way. We are aiming to expand how children document their own learning and bridge gaps in their knowledge and they are keen to engage in modern technology.

Who is this for?

The new technology will be used across the entire school with all children. Each class will have their own iPad in order to keep a diary of their learning across the year and support their further understanding.

Why do we want it?

Having this technology will help children SEE their learning and SEE the progress they are making. In PE the iPads can be used to film each session so children are aware of their targets and can see the progress they are making. In subjects such as Design and Technology or Science children can upload videos and images to the shared drive quickly in order to make instructions or even a mini film of their experiments.
