About us

We are Tudor Primary School, one of Barnet schools in London with 241 children on roll. We have been part of the Finchley community for over 50 years and we are proud of our social and cultural diversity.

What do we want?

We want to purchase some Chromebooks that are essential tools to use Google Apps and Google Drive. It is vital for our children to develop essential skills for their learning.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, to use across a range of subjects.

Why do we want it?

Part of the computing curriculum requires our children to learn how to use technology to access their learning. We find that children love technology and enjoy learning through it.

Chromebooks are versatile laptops that are designed to be used with Google's Educational Suite of applications. These are very good quality, lightweight and quick to start laptops. With the support from Google Apps, we can allow children to create their documents in the classroom and save them on the Google Drive, which can later be accessed and edited from anywhere in the world using secure logins.

They can also use the internet for researching topics in the lessons and watch videos that are relevant to the curriculum, further enhancing their learning. Chromebooks can be used to engage learners in all subject areas.

We would like to buy:

8 x Acer Chromebook 14inch @ £179.00 each = £1,440.00

Total = £1,440 (incl VAT & delivery)

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would like to buy more Chromebooks so that we have enough for a class set.

Please donate generously and you will be giving all our children an amazing Christmas present! If you can't donate right now you can help us in other ways!
