About us

We are a small Infant School close to the town centre of Nuneaton. We are a diverse school with children from many different countries and speaking many different languages. One of the children's favourite subjects is computing.

Our computing equipment is getting old and we really need to update it, but we have very little money to buy new equipment. The children love using our BeeBots but they have been in the school many years and a lot of them do not work. Computing is a big part of the curriculum and with the BeeBots dropping like flies we need more to ensure children have a practical way to learn to programme. For our Year 2 children we would like to buy Lego WeDo to help our older children create more complex programmes.

Unfortunately, due to permissions not being obtained in time, we are unable to add a video at the moment, but the children have made a beautiful video explaining why we need these important resources. It will be added here and to the school website once we have obtained the permissions needed.

What do we want?

We want to buy BlueBots with a docking station and a set of Lego WeDo.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, for use across the computing curriculum. These resources will also be used to help the children learn key maths concepts, like movement and direction.

Why do we want it?

Computing is now a very big part of the curriculum. Our current BeeBots are on their last legs and are breaking down one by one. We need to update them and the new BlueBots are the perfect replacement.

We also need to challenge our older children with a more complex programming resource and Lego WeDo will be fun, engaging and challenging for our children.

Total = £1,049.58 (incl VAT & delivery)

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target we would like to buy extra sets of the above items.

Our children would be over the moon to have these resources to use in lessons. Please help us to reach our target!
