About us

Bosbury CE Primary School is an outstanding school near Ledbury in Herefordshire for children aged 4 to 11. The school aims to enable every pupil to gain confidence, self-esteem, independence, imagination and generosity of spirit in a safe and stimulating environment for learning and play.

What do we want?

Unfortunately, due to huge budget cuts, we find ourselves extremely under-resourced but with your help, we are determined to provide some exciting and engaging new science equipment for our pupils' inquisitive and curious minds.

Who is this for?

Every pupil in our school will enjoy and benefit from using the equipment we wish to purchase.

Why do we want it?

Our pupils LOVE science and we want to foster that enthusiasm by ensuring we have the tools and equipment available to allow them to experiment, observe, investigate and discover. Virtual reality will allow our students to visualise the workings of the human body more clearly and enable them to interact with subject matter in a totally new way. It will give them the opportunity to experience a place that they will never otherwise be able to see! A lamp and incubator will give our pupils a chance to experience first-hand, the life cycle and development of birds by observing the chicks hatching from the eggs and learning about the kind of care and conditions needed for them to thrive. Microscopes will bring our pupils up close and personal with their subject matter; from melting to mixing to minibeasts. Such memorable learning experiences can be so powerful and cement knowledge and understanding that will remain with pupils for a lifetime.
