About us

Branfil Primary School is a large three form primary school located in Upminster in the London Borough of Havering. At Branfil we are a supportive school community where every member of staff wants to aid children in fulfilling their potential and we strive to provide a wide variety of opportunities for children to develop their personal, social, physical and creative skills.

What do we want?

We would like to equip our classrooms with some new visualisers. Many of our classrooms do not currently have access to a visualiser but we know that this technology is something that can have a huge impact on children’s learning.

Our preferred choice of visualiser would be the Elmo MX-1, as we have trialled this visualiser and know it is a high-quality piece of technology and it is easily portable so we would be able to share the resources between year groups.

Who is this for?

We are looking to purchase some visualisers to share between the Years 1-6 classes, they would greatly benefit both teaching staff and pupils.

Why do we want it?

We know that using visualisers has a huge impact on pupils' learning. Visualisers are digital presentation and teaching tools that enable teachers to share a much wider range of information and resources. Teachers and pupils can use visualisers to demonstrate, share and show learning resources, as well as work that children have produced, and they open up many fantastic opportunities for self- and peer-assessment, which is proven to develop depth of learning.

Visualisers can also be used to capture the images they display which can then be saved, annotated and referred back to, and videos can also be made of any objects under a visualiser. Their range of uses makes this a great tool for use in the classroom as it supports many different learning styles and helps teachers to deliver engaging, memorable lessons.

The money we raise will be used to begin equipping our school with visualisers. We would initially like to purchase three visualisers to be shared between Years 1-6 and would then look to add additional visualisers progressively. Our aim is for every class teacher to have access to a visualiser.

3 x Elmo MX-1 4K visualisers @ £306 incl VAT

Total: £927.60 incl VAT

Now that we've been fortunate enough to raise more than our target, we would also like to buy:

1 x 1 additional Elmo visualisers @ £306 incl. VAT.

New Total: £1,233.60
