We are Woodborough Woods Foundation C of E (Aided) school.  We would like to put interactive screens into all our our class rooms. We try our very best to raise funds by holding termly events, coffee mornings etc. We recently held our annual Summer Fayre and through the generosity of everyone who came we raised enough for one screen and just over half towards another. Our PTA helps us fundraise too; however they support the school with so many other 'extras' such as drama days and sports kits.

What do we want?

We have had to replace the dated equipment in our Year 6 class with an interactive board and what a difference it has made!  It has really helped the children 'visualise' learning in lots of different ways and styles, and supported the teacher to bring the curriculum to life! To quote one of our children 'WOW I get it!' as they were able to work through a maths problem they were having trouble understanding with the their class. Being able to see it and share it made all the difference.

Who is this for?

The whole school will benefit.

Why do we want it?

Our current school building was built with a maximum life span of 25 years. However, here we are 50 years on and trying to make the building work in the best possible way for our children. The projectors and whiteboards are now very dated and are becoming increasing hard and expensive to repair. In the digital age we all live in, more and more of teaching and learning that takes place in our school relies on using different types of software. The whiteboards coupled with projectors and laptops haven't got the capacity to access this.

Wall mounted interactive screen @ £2,700

4 x Soundbars @ £40 = £120

Sub total = £2,820 (Inc. VAT & delivery)

+3% payment processing fees (charged by the payment provider)

Grand total = £2,905

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would like to buy 3 more wall mounted interactive screens and 3 more soundbars!
