About us

We are Ryders Hayes pupil leadership team.

What do we want?

We would like our school to do more hands-on coding and need 16 Raspberry Pi kits. We would eventually like 32 sets but to start us off, we will aim for 16.

Who is this for?

The Raspberry Pi kits will be used by KS2 (Y4-6) to support our STEM curriculum which links our science, D&T, Computing and Maths subjects to help us in our future lives. The Raspberry Pi is one way we will learn how to build, code and apply our technology skills for our future careers.

Why do we want it?

We really need the Raspberry Pi kits as we need to understand how computers work and we know that in the future, these skills will help us in our careers.

The Raspberry Pi kits can be coded to whatever we want and we can use our imagination to create our own projects as well as get involved with the Raspberry Pi community and connect with students all over the country who are doing similar projects. We could be the next Alan Turing!

In the first instance, we are asking for 16 Raspberry Pi kits and 16 CamJam Edu kits, and if possible double this so that a whole year group can get involved in a project.

16 x Raspberry Pi @ £60 each = £960

16 x CamJam EduKit @ £5 each = £80

Total = £960 + £80 = £1,040 (incl VAT & delivery)

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy more Raspberry Pis @ £60, so we will ask for an extra £960.
