About us

We are a small village school on the outskirts of York, with just 3 classes. As a small school, we have been hit particularly hard with funding cuts and we are trying very hard to raise funds to improve the ICT we can offer our children, in this ever changing technological world, so preparing them fully for adult life. We have a very active Friends of Naburn PTA group who have been busy raising funds for a set of Chromebooks, but we just need a final push now. Our school motto is, ‘Small school, big ideas’ so this is our big idea!

What do we want?

A trolley to store and charge a set of Chromebooks in.

Who is this for?

This is for our Y3/4 class and also for the KS1 children to use across a range of subjects and in particular ICT.

Why do we want it?

We currently have one set of Chromebooks which the Friends of Naburn kindly helped us to purchase nearly two years ago and the other children in school are always borrowing them! We have been busy raising funds for another set for the rest of school, and this set will need a charging trolley to keep them safe and ensure that they are always charged and ready to use. Our old laptops are nearly worn out and this will replace them. Also, the trolley will be smaller than our current laptop trolley, so freeing up some much needed space in our corridor. The class teachers have been on recent Chromebook training and are itching to put this to use!
