About us

Holme Community School is on a technological journey. Our ambition is to ensure that every child has the access to the latest technologies and that they are ready to thrive in an ever increasing digital world. We've invested in iPads and now want to use Apple TVs to transform teaching and learning, so that children can share work, use technology to work collaboratively and access resources which will simply 'blow their mind.'

What do we want?

We want to buy 5 Apple TVs so that we can maximise the use of our existing iPads to create shared learning spaces where children have the ability to share/project their work with other members of their class and their teacher.

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, to use across a range of subjects.

Why do we want it?

By being able to better utilise the ICT equipment we have, and enhance it with Apple TVs we will be able to make the use of technology an integral part of teaching and learning (rather than a stand alone subject). We will use the iPads and Apple TVs to share interactive resources in real time, and for our behaviour management system. It will enable children to engage in using a wide range of resources across all curriculum areas and help us bring learning to life.

If we're fortunate enough to raise more than our target, then we would also like to buy some virtual reality headsets to help children visualise important events and places in history and geography- all without leaving the classroom.

Please donate what you can and help us transform teaching and learning, whilst preparing our children for the future, their future, which will be shaped by advancements in technology.
