About us

We are a two form entry primary school based in Hackney. At Grazebrook, we believe that all pupils should make outstanding progress in their learning, regardless of their starting point. Through purposeful, challenging lessons, our pupils are supported to become confident, creative and successful learners.

What do we want?

We want:

A SAM Labs Steam kit + Classroom Kit Bundle

Who is this for?

This is for our whole school, to use across a range of subjects.

Why do we want it?

*Creative solutions to problems is at the heart of our school culture*

It is imperative that we facilitate learning environments that are fluid, dynamic, and relevant. We want to start asking non-Googleable questions. We want to continue to develop inquiry and curiosity whilst enabling our children to find solutions to problems. These kits will allow us to begin to develop a STEAM approach to learning.

STEAM integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. It allows students to connect their learning in these critical areas together with arts practices, design principles, and curriculum standards to provide the whole pallet of learning at their disposal.

STEAM removes limitations and replaces them with wonder, critique, inquiry, and innovation. Using STEAM does not mean letting go of English language, arts or social studies. You can use a STEAM lesson with those ideas, because it’s fundamentally built upon asking really good questions, and then seeking solutions to the problems that are presented in those content areas.

Help us to develop the future innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!
