About us

We are a small school in North London. Although small, we have big ambitions and big ideas. One such idea is to use Virtual Reality to bring our imaginations to life! A large proportion of our children are either EAL or do not have access to the sights and sounds beyond their immediate local area, thus limited their life experiences. Having access to the VR and AR technology would open their senses and allow them to explore worlds that are far and beyond.

What do we want?

Being a part of the LGfL school network for technology, we have the opportunity to purchase Class VR at a discounted rate. We want to purchase a set of 8 ClassVR headsets, including the charging storage unit.

Who is this for?

ClassVR is suitable for all the children in the school, from Reception to Year 6. We plan to use them across the curriculum so that children can have a first hand experience of visiting the Egyptian pyramids, rainforests, digestive systems, visiting the sea creatures under the sea and other more exciting places.

Why do we want it?

The VR devices will be used within lessons across the curriculum so that children can visualise the different settings and environments by putting themselves in the image. It will help them engage and interact with the worlds beyond their imagination, thus enhancing their learning and making it fun, interesting, exciting and more colourful.

We also plan to use these devices to run a VR club with younger children.

The money will be used to buy:

8 x ClassVR headsets @ £1,999 as part of the LGfL ClassVR scheme: https://www.lgfl.net/learning-resources/summary-page/classvr-pricing.aspx

Total: £1,999
